on the cards itself it's either 3,10 (both, for one of the cards), and 10 in the other card. Some people are just a bit lazy the way they write it.īut on these two cards I'm looking at, even though it says, for one of them Uhs1, and the for other Uhs-i, on top of the page, it doesn't say so on the card itself. It's UHS-I, UHS-II and UHS-III not 1,2 and 3. But like Bflood says if you can get them for a good price these Ultra's at 80MB/s read, which I believe are around 45MB/s write would be good for the D7000 as the write speed of the camera is no more than 40MB/s. Sandisk get in a bit of a mess naming their cards, because as the cards get faster they keep changing the names of the other cards, so an Extreme card for example can vary a lot in speed. You don't need either of those cards, slower cards will do the job, but if you have a UHS card reader then you will obviously get faster speeds downloading with the quicker cards. Only other discernible difference I see is one is "Extreme Pro" the other one just "Extreme". (and: according to these pages, one is uhs-1 and the other one uhs-i. So either one of the ones I posted the links for would be ok? because, even though they're both 16GB, the price is very different. most entries in the search results are old, so not sure where to find a reliable - more current - source for what would be the best memory card for the Nikon D7000. on the cards itself it's either 3,10 (both, for one of the cards), and 10 in the other card.Īnd: the url I post here is from 2012. The reason I'm confused is that in the url I posted above they make a distincton betw UHS-I (is that a "1" or an "i"?) and class 10, 3, etc.īut on these two cards I'm looking at, even though it says, for one of them Uhs1, and the for other Uhs-i, on top of the page, it doesn't say so on the card itself. The cards I have found that are - I think - what I need for the D7000, and that are in my price range and storage-capacity range (I don't need more than 16GB), and available to purchase online where I live, are these two: (but this is an old entry, so am not sure how reliable it is.) Have been reading this page, which comes up in the search results: I need to purchase a memory card for the Nikon D7000, but am thoroughly confused as to which one to purchase.
